The topics are something I left general because I think that has to be a case by case basis. Plus I'm still trying to figure it out myself. Mostly, like you, I'm attracted to people that are intelligent and like to continue learning. I would prefer a woman that was a good balance to myself - I know a lot of art, large chunks of history and politics, and enjoy reading as a hobby. But I also spend a ton of time doing physical activities like carpentry, hiking, biking, and camping/sports when I find time. The latter is stuff I wouldn't require her to be a part of and even might want some distance as those are things I do to let off stress and with male friends. The first would be nice to be able to discuss with a woman on some level or another - nothing crazy brainstorming, but fun discussions. Actually, when I think about it, for LTR/marriage I mostly would want her to have a solid basis for raising kids. So that kind of knowledge and intellectualism. Short term relationships and just dating I would probably prefer those more in line with my own thinking, knowledge base, etc. The balance is needed more over long periods of time and raising kids. The other stuff would be a short term burst of fun and excitement. Re: Marriage and commitment If someone shows that they're worth it, and is up for some prenups so I wouldn't get reamed in a divorce, I'd be open to marriage. It sounds like you're working on making sure you'd be worth that to a man. So props to that. But I haven't found anyone near like that yet (Hope gives me shit that I'm hunting a Unicorn. I can't really disagree). So I'm working on starting some plate spinning, as Rollo would describe it. Nothing solid yet, but working on it.
