Attraction Or Avoidance

Attraction Or Avoidance
People can sometimes be overly PICKY when they're online searching the personals for potential partners, dates and relationships. They often have preferences about people such as age range or body type that may be more habit than true attraction preferences. Over years of dating they haven't found any long-lasting success with people that fit those preferences or they wouldn't be ONLINE DATING they would be in a steady relationship.

Many people stick to a narrow list of criteria for potential dates without consciously realizing that the list of criteria has not provided any true relationship success in the past. Quite often if people would think outside the box a little bit, they would find that loving romantic partner that they seek - someone loyal and trustworthy who would offer them the unconditional love that they desire. Seeking someone who is looking for a serious relationship instead of someone that fits a list of physical and age requirements could possibly yield someone who would be very appreciative of a great RELATIONSHIP and would show their appreciation by being loyal, loving and reliable. When people are honest with themselves about what they want and what has and has not worked for them, they may re-examine the type of person that they consistently date and realize that it is not the type of person who can give them what they truly hope for in a serious relationship. While we all have certain specific things that we are attracted to, always choosing to date within a specific age range or body type or career choice or whatever may not be a biological attraction.

Sometimes it can be a means to avoid getting into a serious relationship because it allows us to consistently date people who are not truly suitable. Occasionally reassessing our criteria and the real reasons behind them can help us to figure out if we're really looking for a serious relationship and if our criteria is a help or a hindrance.
