10 Ways To Know If Your Relationship Is Worth Keeping

10 Ways To Know If Your Relationship Is Worth Keeping
WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH, YOU MAY ASK IF YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS STILL WORTH FIGHTING FOR. HERE ARE THE 10 SIGNS THAT WOULD TELL YOU TO KEEP AT IT! BY LIANNE CHOO

google ad region= "test";

According to the American Psychological Association, "40 to 50 percent of married couples in the United States divorce." In an age that values throwing things away instead of fixing them, are we doing this to our relationships too?

The numbers certainly seem to say so as according to a piece published on Huffington Post's site, "More than 200 times the number of couples divorce today than a century ago, despite there being fewer couples marrying."

So what does this say about our society? In my humble opinion, this simply means that our fickleness has robbed us of our ability to appreciate our relationships.

Everything is too fast paced nowadays, even our thoughts. We need to calm down, slow down and really take time to think about what we want from our romantic relationships, and whether they are worth keeping if things get bad. [Read: 14 common reasons relationships fail]

HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOU SHOULD STAY IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP?

Every relationship is different, every partner is different, everybody's experiences are different. However, if you do not know where to start, here are 10 general signs that may indicate staying is a good idea. Keep these pointers in mind when you hunker down to weigh in the pros and cons of keeping the relationship.

#1 YOU HAVE INVESTED A LOT. Investing in your relationship is a natural part of being in one. It could be time, money, tears and anything else. For example, if you were in a long distance relationship with your partner, and you finally figured out how to physically be together, then you certainly need to give your current relationship a chance. There is no way you did all that fighting and sacrificing for nothing.

Another example is having financial investments together, not just in the relationship, but in other aspects of life such as assets and businesses. Many long term couples buy property together and the same can be said of a husband-wife sort of business team. The more you have invested, the harder you should think about walking away.

#2 YOU'VE BEEN TOGETHER FOR A WHILE. If this relationship has been a long term one, you may want to suck it up and power through. All the time and energy that you have put into making it work thus far is not to be scoffed at. In this situation, you have to think about your partner as well. There is nothing worse than dedicating love, time and effort into something, and then having the one you care about throw it all away.

#3 YOU HAVE COMMITMENTS. You should seriously consider staying if you and your partner have already built a life together and share multiple responsibilities. An example is kids. Unlike pieces of furniture that can be easily discarded or divided, kids are a whole different story. If you have kids together, then the pull to stay together should be much stronger.

Countless researchers and behaviorists have attested to the fact that children need a stable and loving household to flourish. Other commitments like pets and financial responsibilities should also be considered.

#4 YOU'RE FOR MORE THAN JUST TO FEND OFF LONELINESS. If you are with your partner simply because you fear being alone, then it is not a good sign. However, if the reasons you are together extend beyond mere loneliness, then it is a sign that you should stay.

Being with someone is more than just filling a void and depending on another person to make you feel whole. It encompasses various levels of emotional and physical aspects and if you can confidently list down the myriad positive reasons you are with your partner, then keeping the relationship alive is certainly important. [Read: 5 ways to feel more secure in your relationship]

#5 YOU UPLIFT EACH OTHER. You are probably pondering whether to stay or go because you are going through a difficult time with your partner. Before making that decision, look back on all the times you spent together, and determine whether you lift each other up more than bring each other down. If negativity pervades every aspect of your relationship and support is lacking, you can pack up right now.

On the other hand, if you find that you bring out the best in each other despite all the troubles and bickering, you can chalk it up as a sign that you should keep the relationship going. Remember that being with someone is not always rainbows and butterflies. There will be ugly times in the mix, but if the rainbows and butterflies outshine the darkness, then you have a good thing going.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle []).push({});
google ad region= "test";

#6 YOU CAN BE YOURSELF. The fact that you can be yourself when you are around your partner should be enough of an indication that you should stay together. We tend to hide who we truly are in everyday life. It could be at work, at school, at the supermarket, at parties or anywhere else in public. It is apparent in the way we dress, think, converse and behave.

Whether it is leading others to believe that you make more money than you really do by driving a nice car, or letting others think that you are smarter than you really are by voicing meaningless opinions, we are all guilty of projecting somewhat of a farce around others. However, if you can completely let down your guard and still be loved and accepted by your partner, then it is a sign that you should keep the relationship alive. [Read: 13 unique ways to build intimacy in your relationship]

#7 YOU STILL LAUGH TOGETHER. Beloved American essayist and biographer Agnes Repplier once said, "We cannot really love anyone with whom we never laugh." If you can still laugh and have fun with your partner after years together, then you know that the relationship is worth keeping.

Nothing is better than being able to share light hearted moments with the person you care about. If the positivity is apparent then you should be thankful for it and forge through with the relationship, despite all the hardships that you have to endure as a couple. [Read: 12 things happy couples talk about to feel closer]

#8 YOU CAN'T IMAGINE LIFE WITHOUT YOUR PARTNER. To be honest, I have thought about leaving my partner of six years on several occasions. These thoughts cropped up during particularly dire and uneasy periods involving negative emotions like distrust, paranoia, dissatisfaction, irritation and so on. However, these emotions are always quashed every time I imagine my life without him. In spite of the sporadic difficulties that come up, I compare what my life was like prior to meeting him and what it is like now.

I can honestly say that even though we have our differences and engage in the occasional fight, life is so much better with him around. Nothing can overshadow the laughter, good times, joy and love that we share. If you feel the same way about your partner, then you know that your relationship is worth fighting for.

#9 THERE IS HONESTY AND TRUST IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP. Honesty and trust are two very important values in relationships. Without them, your relationship will fail, and both parties will end up drowning in misery. If both of you think that trust and honesty are very important to the health of your partnership, then you should definitely keep going.

Relationships are a two way street, so if only one party values honesty and trust, it will not work out no matter how much you want to keep going. [Read: 12 signs of true love in your relationship]

#10 THERE'S STILL SOME CHEMISTRY BETWEEN YOU. If you still lust after your sweetheart, then you know that it is a good sign. Not many couples are able to keep the flames of passion going after spending a significant period of time together but if you two are able to, then why not give the relationship another go? Maybe all you need is a sexy romp in the hay to make you appreciate just how wonderful things are.

[Read: 11 tips to have your happily ever after]

IT'S EASY TO CONSIDER LEAVING YOUR PARTNER WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH A ROUGH PATCH. BUT WHEN YOU LOOK BACK AND SEE THAT YOU HAVE A REALLY GREAT THING GOING, IT CAN PREVENT YOU FROM GIVING UP AND PUSH YOU TO KEEP WORKING TOGETHER.

5 Roads To Leadership

5 Roads To Leadership
Administration lost? The endeavors of the remote few animation and the way that everyday organizations suppress responded to the domino effect from the financial challenge has initiate what can only be described as a leadership challenge. The thin shell of leadership that was building in everyday organizations in the 90s and 2000s has been washed to the left by the expediency of contra clerical priorities. Too few suppress stood up for the thinking, and realize, of effective leadership. Acquaint with are, even if, an exceptional few who suppress stayed the see to and continued to speak for the cleanness and analogous that comes from animate their principles and thinking. If we ask people in organizations '"Who are the exceptional leaders?"', only a small number of people can universally be identified, but they are still acquaint with. We can learn exceptional things from these exceptional people. We find that exceptional leaders part five location characteristics: they report themselves, they report their people; they report their job; they build relationships; and they project the development. We in addition find that they are all unremittingly learning their get paid of leadership and for them, it is a long-lasting badger of friendly and country learning. 5 Connections TO Administration report yourself Infrequent leaders report what they stand for, what their thinking and instruction are. They suppress a heightened contemplate of look after of themselves and their crash on others. report your people Infrequent leaders report their people, to order and collectively. They report what motivates them and how to initiate them. report your job Infrequent leaders report their job. They report how to get things elegant and make things suggest itself. Put a dominant problem to them and they will ask '"How can we do this a better way?"' Infrequent leaders report how to project change in meaningful, productive, positive ways to haul about a better development for themselves, their people and their organizations. Site TO Do again It's time to reinstate our leadership sovereign state and to learn from inhabitants who suppress off endurance in stony times. We need to rescue on the concurrence of leadership in organizations and show snooty clerical performance knock back better people practice. Book Review The Emerald Talisman Brenda Pandos

Book Review The Emerald Talisman Brenda Pandos
"To be normal, sixteen-year-old Julia Parker would shed her empathic gift in a second. Life has been difficult since her mother's mysterious disappearance ten years earlier - an event she witnessed, but can't remember. Julia's situation becomes more complicated after a near death experience from a blood thirsty stalker. As high school students go missing it is clear there is a connection to her own experience--past and present. Someone has to stop the madness and a chance encounter with a creepy psychic foretells that only Julia is the key to stopping the madness, but it may require the life of the one she loves."Saying this book tested my patience does not even begin to cover it; it truly exhausted every ounce of whatever patience there was in me. While I admit I was intrigued about its premise at first, and was thoroughly excited at having the book in my hands, eventually I had to get rid of it or risk insanity. For the record, I actually did not finish the book. So whether or not you'd take my review as accurate, I'll leave it for you to decide. However, note that I did try to read as much of this book as I could possibly endure. But it just was not possible to finish the book. The protagonist, Julia, narrates the story and this pretty much guaranteed it's downfall for me. She's a whiny character, one that comes across as stupid more than naive. She's also rather weak in character and I was especially put off with her incessant pining after Nicholas. So the guy heroically saves her and she falls head over heels in love at first sight, granted. But when Nicholas fails to show up after his saving her, she acts as if her life has suddenly lost its purpose. She goes through the five stages of grief, as though she has lost a lover. She begins blaming him, acting as if Nicholas owed her a lengthy explanation for promising to show up and somehow failing to do so (sure, a promise is a promise - but when a stranger promised something to you, do you honestly fall into a depression when it's broken? Aren't you more likely to be surprised if that stranger actually fulfilled a promised visit?). She also actually gets into the point where she tells herself to finally 'move on' from Nicholas. Move on? As if they ever had a relationship in the first place? It was just too pathetic.Of course a good mystery and even more mysterious hero is always welcomed in my book - but as I waited for the mystery to unravel, there was nothing else to sustain the plot other than Julia's never-ending pining for Nicholas. Not only did this lack of subplot resulted in the dragging of the storyline, it also made it boring, and Julia's narrative practically killed it for me. Being annoyed to death by this character overshadowed my reading experience so much I can hardly comment on the book's writing and structure. So sadly, despite my initial enthusiasm, Emerald Talisman turned out to be rather unbearable.ONE STAR."* Book courtesy of UK Book Tours."

How Do You Make Yourself More Loveable Like What Are Ways To Make Your Bf Fall In Love With You
i love him but bestow is love sad i invent if i include got possessions together he won't include any snooty but to see i am tring and make possessions right too i still want to be with him but i want him to want to not constrained or compelled we include brood but i want him to want this you knowHow do you make yourself untouchable loveable, like what are ways to make your bf fall in love with you?

Review How To Save A Life By Sara Zarr

Review How To Save A Life By Sara Zarr
PUBLISHER: UsborneFORTMAT: PaperbackRELEASED: September 1st, 2012RATING: 8/10AMAZON SUMMARY:"Jill MacSweeney just wishes everything could go back to normal. But ever since her dad died, she's been isolating herself from her boyfriend, her best friends - everyone who wants to support her. And when her mom decides to adopt a baby, it feels like she's trying to replace a lost family member with a new one. Mandy Kalinowski understands what it's like to grow up unwanted - to be raised by a mother who never intended to have a child. So when Mandy falls pregnant, one thing she's sure of is that she wants a better life for her baby. It's harder to be sure of herself. Will she ever find someone to care for her too? As their worlds change around them, Jill and Mandy must learn to both let go and hold on, and that nothing is as easy - or as difficult - as it seems. "REVIEW:"How to Save a Life" Is the third of Sara Zarr's books I've read, and it's by far the best. I've found her books to be a bit hit and miss (didn't like "Story of a Girl", loved "Sweethearts"), but for some reason I knew I'd like this one as soon as I heard about it. I had a hard time getting it from the US so was very glad to hear that Usborne had bought the UK rights. Well done to whoever is responsible for that - this book is BRILLIANT."How to Save a Life" is about many things: life, love, grief, acceptance, forgiveness. It's raw and realistic in a way that made me really feel like I knew the characters, almost like they were my real life friends. I felt sad for them when they cried, and happy for them when a spark of hope showed up in their lives. Not every book I read has that effect on me, which is testament to just how well written "How to Save a Life" is.This book is primarily about an adoption. Robin, a fifty-something widow, meets eighteen-year-old Mandy on the Internet, and they arrange an open adoption for Mandy's child, without the input of lawyers or social workers. It's all done on Mandy's terms, which raises a red flag for Robin's daughter Jill. Mandy moves into Robin's house as her due date nears, and it's not long before Shea finally finding out what it's like to have a home and a family who actually care. What follows is a journey of trust and self-discovery, and it's beautifully written.Every character in this book has captured my heart. I like Robin for her grim determination to carry on living. I like Mandy because of her devotion to giving her child the best life possible. I like Dylan and Ravi because they both do their best to help Jill any way they can. And that just leaves Jill. I feel for her and what she's going through after losing my dad. I thankfully haven't experienced that myself, but I know what it's like to fear the loss of a parent. It's a crippling fear that makes everything come to a standstill, and that alone was more than enough for me. So for Jill to carry on and get up every morning is something I can relate to. Her bravery is her best quality, and Zarr writes her as if she too knows what it's like to be in that headspace."How to Save a Life" is the best contemporary novel I've read this year. It's the kind of book that makes me glad to be a reader. I'm already thinking about reading it again, an I just might do it. There's layer upon layer of character development to peel back and explore, and I'm sure I must have missed something in my rush to get to the end and find out the conclusion to my new friends' stories. There isn't much left for me to say except read it. Just read it and bask in the glow of pitch-perfect writing and look forward to an inspiring collection of people you can get to know. I really don't think you'll regret it.

If Youre An Older Guy Doing Daygame Is It Better To Go Indirect And If So How

If Youre An Older Guy Doing Daygame Is It Better To Go Indirect And If So How
I'm an what went before guy (as in I'm mature over 40, but don't at all look my age), who does day bet the same as I take the time, but as upper limit daygame products be offended to be primary intended at guys mature 30 and under, no matter which that's never discussed with the direct/indirect negotiations, is that the tact of the guy, the tact of the girl and the age difference together with the two, are all significant factors in whether or not direct will work. Chronicle bet is fine if you're a reasonably looking guy talking to a reasonably looking girl who's your age, but if you're an uglier guy and/or are a guy who's 20 soul what went before than her, I've begin goodbye direct in the day doesn't terribly work, in imitation of a girl approached picks up on you being 5 soul autonomous of her age range, as I've just been able to tell from facial terminology and micro terminology. It in all probability pays to go indirect or you're simply goodbye to turn your wheels forever with curt argue, which is so far what I've been getting by goodbye direct. This is somewhat boring for me, as I in truth approval to go direct in day bet, but if you're an what went before guy discharge duty what went before man/younger woman daygame, if you go direct, it tends to brink younger women out, calm if you do no matter which right and act agreeably. I think an what went before guy needs to go pleasantly indirect. As put on in all probability aren't host guys on nearby mature 40 and over discharge duty day bet, I was wondering what type of indirect openers and approach campaign people nearby would intend for guys like in person.

In Loving Memory Of My Grandma Molly 1919 2013

In Loving Memory Of My Grandma Molly 1919 2013
Today, on the 9th of March 2013, my Paternal Grandmother Molly Khoo passed away peacefully at the age of 94. I will miss her dearly and will always remember her kindness, the values and lessons she passed on to me over the years. My Grandma was the one who raised me in my younger years as my parents spent most of their weekdays working to build their careers.

During my parent's divorce, she was the one who took me in and gave me love and strength during those challenging years. When everyone called me lazy, stupid and naughty, my Grandma never said a single unkind or discouraging word. She was a tremendous positive thinker who listened and encouraged me to become the best I could be. She was the one who gave me hope at a time when everyone believed I was a hopeless kid. When I came out with the crazy idea of making money by running a disco at the age of 15, she was the one who lent me her house. Despite over 100+ teenagers trashing her house, she never scolded me or complained. Instead, she asked, 'How much money did you make?' and smiled and she cleaned up.

Next to her bedside was a picture of the time she attended my graduation ceremony from Officer Cadet School, one of the proudest moments in her life (and mine as well). A testament to the fact that when you believe and care for someone, you can mould a diamond out of coal.

My Grandma was really an amazingly intelligent, courageous and determined woman. When her husband (my paternal grandfather) died at the young age, she was left to raise her four sons alone (one of them, my dad). At that time, many people thought that she could never pull through and would even lose the house. She was a homemaker with little savings and no formal education.

Despite having no formal schooling, she spoke fluent English, Malay, Hokkien, Cantonese and was extremely resourceful and witty. She learnt how to became a horse betting bookie (illegal at the time), took in tenants into the family home and punted shares in the stock market. My Grandma learnt how to create multiple streams of income all by herself.

With her resourceful money making skills (which probably rubbed off on me), frugal habits, she put all her four sons through university (including my dad) and continued to play an active role in caring for us all the way to her 90s. Because of her, my dad, my three other uncles and many of my cousins lead an abundant life today. Thank you Grandma and I know you are in a much better place now.

Letter From Blog Reader

Letter From Blog Reader
BLOG READER INQUIRES ABOUT ARCHETYPE, AND HATES COCKY FUNNY . Dear Cameron- To be honest, I found your blog by mistake when I was searching for answers about why women flake. Google brought me to your blog and while I didn't like (or rather didn't wish to believe) your response, I kept reading and am very glad I did. The reason I wasn't responsive at first was my own frustration and being tired of being rejected, and your content forced me to accept that it is what it is and there isn't a grand conspiracy of women trying to make me fail. Your blog has given me a huge number of answers, and restored a lot of my confidence. I fell specifically for David D's materials, but I kept returning them once I kept hearing non-answers in his programs, plus I HATED cocky funny. I haven't bought your program yet, but I intend to sometime in the future. I'm fascinated by the different personality types especially with your post on the Myer-Briggs test. My result was "INTJ - The Scientist" which I suspect many of your readers to be. My question for you is that since I believe that many (if not most) of your readers are "INTJ" would you write more blog posts on the personality types (or archetypes) that would relate well with "INTJ"? I was fascinated with your series on the party chick, but I think you're too focused on this archetype. If that's what your audience wants, then that's your call, but I'm voicing my opinion here. I also have a question for me personally. Reading through I believe that the personality I'd like best in a woman is "ENFJ - The Giver". My second question to you is where can I find this personality (or your equivalent archetype) of woman? My biggest problem is that I feel comfortable with women, I'm hardly afraid to ask them out, I just need to MEET more of them. I'm a home body, I hate going to bars and clubs to meet women, and I really don't want to waste my time dating women I know I wouldn't connect with. I admit, I'm looking for a relationship because it's been awhile for me, and I'd like to get involved with someone of quality. I read your "CASINO OF DATING" post which was brilliant and I'd love to throw some house parties, but I'd like to find where an ENFJ woman would hang around so I can invite them. I've only met one in recent memory, so it's tricky for me to tell. Obviously there wouldn't be a "meeting place" for women that are givers (ENFJ), but I just wish to know more on how to spot them. Even if you wrote a piece about this type of woman, I'd be incredibly grateful. I'd like more information on this subject Cam, and I know you won't dissapoint. Your loyal fan, -Ben
. Hey Ben, Thanks for the very honest and sincere letter. I am glad Google pointed you the right way. Lol You're correct in your assessment of my articles. There are probably a number of articles on Party Chicks and how to get those type of chicks. That's the type most blog readers struggle with, and it's the type of woman most commonly found in nightclubs and bars. I've gotten request/emails from quite a few different guys to write about the type of girls who are actually WORTH dating and so the next article is going to cover one such particular type. I don't know that it'll specifically discuss the "ENFJ" personality type but I'll discuss a type of woman I'll dub as "Nurturers and Givers." You may not like going to bars and clubs, and the amazing thing is, neither does this archetype. After the next article, you'll have a good understanding of the type, and you'll know when you have met one. There are behavioral and conversational clues that once you know are so obvious, you'll probably think, "Wow, why didn't I notice that before!" Thanks for reading the blog, and spread the word regarding it when you can. Cameron . Building Attraction Secrets Ebook . .

How To Find If Your Girlfriend Is Serious For You Or Not

How To Find If Your Girlfriend Is Serious For You Or Not
How do you make sure if she is serious about you or not? The basic elements of a relationship involve: - Care - Contact- Understanding - and love. Love is why you care about each other, also why you keep in contact, and understanding leads to the growth of a relationship. Don't understand this as something cute, but think of it scientifically, these (aforementioned) are the basic elements of a relationship; and to find out if she is serious or not, you've got to notice the following things: 1) DOES SHE KEEP HER WORD?If you tell her to do something, does she take the responsibility to complete it, or do you have to remind her several times? This shows her priority towards you; how much anything related to you matters. If she is very attentive and never forgets the works you appoint her to do, then she takes you seriously. 2) HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU BEEN STOOD UP - ON PHONE OR ON DATE? Such a thing happens with everyone, but what essentially matters is How many times?- Does she tell you that she is going to call you in an hour and then totally forget about it?- Is she late when you are meant to meet some place? - Do you feel she gives her friends preference over you? - Does she remember the plans you have made? - Does she often make excuses to avoid meetings? - Does she hang out with her friends all the time, but not as much with you? These are all the things are very common that happen with people in relationships; and they certainly mean that it isn't serious. 3) IS SHE COOL WITH YOU BEING GOOD FRIENDS WITH HER FRIENDS? - Are you friends with her friends? - Do you talk to them often? 4) DOES SHE TALK ABOUT YOU TO HER FRIENDS? - If no, in a moment understand that you stand nowhere in her life. 5) HAVE YOU EVER CAUGHT HER LIE ABOUT SOMETHING? - Was it some excuse to ignore you? - Was she lying about some guy? - Is her phone busy most of the time, and she seldom picks up your call over it? 6) IS SHE EXCITED AND HAPPY WHEN SHE IS TALKING TO YOU? That is very important and easy way to know what your place is in her life. A girl in love with you, or into you will sound very excited and attentive while talking to you; but if she is not, then she is nearly fulfilling some duty or obligation she thinks she has with you. Notice if she wants to laugh and have fun while talking to you or not!7) HOW MANY TIMES A DAY DOES SHE CALL YOU? This is a very easy way to find out how much she is interested in you. Don't call her and see how many times would she call you in a day. Once would mean it's her duty. Two would mean she is in a relationship. Three would mean she is into you. Four and above would mean she is crazy for you. IF YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP/ DATING PROBLEM/ QUESTION, POST IT HERE AND YOU'D BE REPLIED WITHIN 12 HOURS
