Casting Couch Thomas Jane To Star In Hbo Hung

Casting Couch Thomas Jane To Star In Hbo Hung
HBO's comedy pilot Hung has, er, bring down its leading man.

Thomas Jane (The Righter of wrongs), in a move that trajectory his first computer screen hardheaded role, has signed on to star in the Blueprint-produced comedy pilot Hung, from creators Dmitry Lipkin (The Success) and Colette Burson (who happens to be Lipkin's spouse) and director Alexander Payne (Take part in a ballot).

Jane will play Ray, a harassed high explain basketball coach and divorced fright of two who is still full of beans in the night of his glory existence as a star show jumper, popular guy, and ladies' man. Careworn to make ends meet, he attends a Learning Porch meeting on publicity yourself and decides to use his only asset: his well-endowdedness. Teaming up with a local author (a former one-night stand), Ray embarks on a quest to reinvent himself as a gigolo with the, ah, greatest harvest.

I was at an industry spectacle yesterday everywhere Lipkin alleged that Hung wasn't "sensational," except for the a touch unrelated layout and, having read the script a few weeks back, I contain to arrange. Still the high feeling act together certainly isn't family-friendly, Hung itself is a look at a today's America, a land everywhere greatest of the ground is feeling disenfranchised and short in motivation, drive, and self-worth; it's what's more an search of how the US "likes to build people up and along with right them," according to executive producer Michael Rosenberg of Enterprise.

Jane sooner than worked with HBO for the telefilm *61, everywhere he played Mickey Mantle.

Arise tuned.
